Research and Investment Strategy
Our
roots as a firm are in research - it is at the core of our corporate
culture. Our research group adheres to a highly disciplined
intrinsic value approach, which we developed to critically examine
the capital structure of the companies we cover, as well as their
competitive position and the growth opportunities in their
industries.
We apply this discipline – which helps us assess how
effectively a company’s managers deploy the capital entrusted to them –
not only in our published research but also in making investment and
underwriting judgments.
IPA focuses its banking, trading and research efforts on selected
industry sectors, namely consumer, diversified industrials, financial
institutions, real estate and niche technology.
In addition to company-specific coverage, analysts in each industry
sector regularly integrate their research into a single industry
overview or “strategist” report.
